A Simple Step by Step

You do not need an account to search, you do, however, need an account to contact an owner or post a property. If you do not have an account, it takes about 30 seconds - Sign Up

To Post

• On the Home Page - Go to Post Property, this will take you to:
• Listing Type Page - Choose whether you are an owner, a broker or a Corporate Housing property. Each time you click Save & Next you will be moved to the next page.
• Property Info Page - Fill in the property info; the orange asterisks are mandatory. The more information you provide and the more accurate you, the better your chances of renting your property. Check out our helpful hints page for more assistance.
• Features Page - Again, the more information you provide, the better your chances of renting your property. Check out our helpful hints page for assistance.
• Images Page - To upload photos you will be prompted to choose a file from your computer. Choose that photo's file and write a brief caption (optional), then click upload. Repeat the process for more photos. You can change your cover shot as you wish by clicking set/unset default. There is a 6MB limit per photo.
• Availability Page - Set your Availability dates by clicking on the calendar; choose the blocks of time you would like, then click set available or set unavailable. Click Next to continue.
• Rates Page - Choose your average Daily, Weekly or Monthly rental rates. Our system will automatically calculate your "Starting At" rates for the Search results. Choose your currency and add any special rate information in the Seasonal Rates and Other Specifics box. Click Save and Next.
• Complete Page - Choose who you want to answer your add. On the Complete page in the Status section you will notice the words LIVE or DRAFT. Only LIVE means that you are visible on the site. See the tooltip in Status for more info.

In order to avoid false listings, you must register your property with a credit card even during a promotion period. It is the only way we can maintain the integrity of our property listings.

To Search

• On the Home Page - Go to Search Listings this will take you to:
• Location - Write your destination - this could be a Neighborhood, City, State, Country, Zip Code... they all work here, whether together or apart. It all depends on how accurate you want to be with your search, if you do not find what you are looking for, try broadening your search.
• Keywords - Write what may be of interest to you, for example: Sunny, quiet, parking, laundry, concierge, gym in building... Please keep in mind that the more you narrow your search, the less properties will appear in the search.
• Contact Owner - Once you locate a property, click on the contact owner button, here you can tell the owner you are interested or ask questions... Your personal email will never be used when you contact an owner, you will communicate through a mailbox on our site and you are free to work out whatever deal works for the both of you, Six Degrees Housing is not involved in any transactions between owners and renters. You may enter your public profile link here when contacting an owner, this will cut to the chase as to who is looking to rent and make the process faster.
