We are Six Degrees Housing, the first short-term housing network for the entertainment community by the entertainment community.

If you're going on Location, World Tour or Vacation and are looking for a home away from home or want to rent your place to someone you may have a connection to - we are the site for you.

The Entertainment Community is made up of millions of professional travelers. If you are part of this community and are interested in listing a property, you already know what a responsible, professional, and generally above averagely good-looking community of people you will be renting to. If you are not part of the Entertainment Community we would like to emphasize that we welcome your participation in renting your property. We would also like to add that all of the things we mentioned about the people you will be renting to are true, and that you are not so bad looking yourself.

About Us

The founders of Six Degrees Housing: Tod Maitland (Film), Sarah Orlinsky (Theater and Real Estate) and Luc Delfau (Internet/Social Networking) have over 45 collective years of professional (and recreational) travel experience. We understand the needs and concerns of this tightly woven community that is linked together by shared lifestyles, shared experiences and shared colleagues. The idea that most of us are just a degree or two away from each other is what Six Degrees Housing is all about.

The site is designed for the entertainment industry professional, it includes:

• The option to rent your property to industry members only if you choose.
• The site is free to post, free to search and free to contact owners.
• Property information that is useful and important to industry travelers.
• Privacy - We do not publicize or give out addresses or emails.
• Links to entertainment sites that will help you check out whom you may be renting to (or from).
• An informative Help center including information about leases and rental guidelines.

Members of the Entertainment Industry live and die by their reputations, they precede them, literally. Six Degrees Housing is founded on the principle that these collective reputations will maintain a sense of honesty, integrity and confidence when using the site. For all the people who never seriously considered renting their home due to the fear of the unknown renter, hopefully being able to work within a community will help quell the fear.

Six Degrees Housing is a posting site; we are not involved in any transactions. We are a service that links two parties together and we believe that owners and renters should have the freedom to work out whatever deal they would like with each other. Our goal is to make finding and renting a property for location, tour or vacation as easy and comforting as possible. After all, we are a community, and with that comes a sense of confidence and security when renting your home.

The entertainment community thrives on word of mouth, so please tell everyone you know about us and please send us any contact info from places you may have stayed at or would like to see listed on the site. We hope that you will see the benefit that Six Degrees Housing can bring to our community and will view it as a collaborative effort and a mutually beneficial one too.

We appreciate any and all feedback. To us, the site is a continuing work in progress and this is just Version 1. We are lucky, since Luc built the site, he will be continually updating it and building well into the future, so your feedback will not fall on deaf ears.
